Bus Display at InnoTrans 2024 lets visitors experience the latest generation of buses

• The Bus Display presents the latest buses from international manufacturers, charging infrastructure systems and supply industry products
• Debut at InnoTrans for BYD from China with three electric buses, and for Ikarus, an established company from Hungary
• Focus on the future of public transport on 26 September at the International Bus Forum and Public Transport Forum

Buses are very versatile, making them indispensable for public transport. That is why the Bus Display is a firmly established part of the InnoTrans Public Transport segment where buses, alternative drives and charging solutions are being exhibited. In the Summer Garden in the heart of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, trade visitors from transport companies and organisations can find out about the latest bus models directly from manufacturers, including under operating conditions. The Bus Display features a 500-metre long course for live bus demonstrations.

Among the ten exhibitors on the Bus Display are new companies such as ARTHUR BUS GmbH and established companies such as Ebusco from the Netherlands. China’s biggest carmaker BYD, as well as Ikarus, an established bus manufacturer from Hungary, are taking part for the first time. In addition to vehicles, visitors can also find out about innovative door systems and charging infrastructures on the Bus Display.

Exhibitors and products include:

ARTHUR BUS GmbH: facelifted ultra-efficient fuel cell bus

On the Bus Display stand B/430, the Munich-based systems manufacturer ARTHUR BUS GmbH is exhibiting its ARTHUR ZERO fuel cell-powered urban public transport bus, whose standout features are low fuel consumption and an extended range. With its facelifted version the company, established in 2021, has improved driver and passenger comfort as well as fuel efficiency. According to the company, the ARTHUR ZERO is “currently the fuel cell bus with the most impressive fuel economy on the German-speaking market.“ ARTHUR BUS GmbH sees itself as a systems manufacturer of custom solutions in vehicle and infrastructure design in the zero-emissions mobility sector. Measuring 12 m in length, it weighs only 9950 kg, consumes 0,65 kWh per km, has a range of up to 700 km and a lifespan of up to 25 years. The batteries are integrated in the flat vehicle floor, creating extra room onboard and freeing up roof space for solar panels for example. Other features include single-wheel axles and insulated side panels. There are currently over 300 Ebusco buses operating in seven countries around Europe. (B/115)
