• Interiors segment boasts ideas for greater sustainability

Comfort, service and an appealing design are what make a successful travel experience complete At InnoTrans 2024, 15,000 square metres of hall space are reserved for exhibitors in the Interiors segment. This is where trade visitors can experience trends and innovations in vehicle equipment, interiors and design. The dedicated Travel Catering & Comfort Services (TCCS) segment focuses on rail travel catering products and services, and is where some 20 exhibitors are presenting their innovations and services for onboard catering. All exhibitors form part of the TCCS-themed route. They are easy to find thanks to additional markings on InnoTrans Plus, in the app, the hall plans, on the exhibition stands and with the help of the route flyer.

The TCCS-themed route offers a broad spectrum, including intelligent coffeemakers, vending machines, sustainable travel catering, dishwashers for galleys, digital billing systems, trolleys, hygiene solutions and innovative surface materials for customised interiors. Exhibitors along the TCCS route include:

Complementing the TCCS displays is the Hospitality Forum, organised by the International Rail Catering Group (IRCG), where experts will look at the future of rail travel catering.

Hospitality Forum on 25 September 2024

Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
Venue: CityCube Berlin

The panel discussion will be followed by a presentation on the influence of European legislation on developments in the catering sector on long-distance trains. The IRCG is exhibiting in Hall 1.1 on Stand 490.

Repairs and resource conservation: sustainability in the Interiors segment

At InnoTrans 2024 sustainability is also a big topic in the Interiors segment – which features a wide range of solutions. BMS Projekt Upholstery (Hall 1.1, Stand 560) is a family-run enterprise from the Netherlands which specialises in upholstery and repairs, especially to furniture installed on trains, trams, metro vehicles and buses. The Swiss company Lantal Textiles (Hall 1.1, Stand 380) takes care to limit its carbon footprint and conserve resources during manufacturing, by digitally dying seat covers and floor coverings and recycling production waste, for example. Other manufacturers in the Interiors segment are presenting low-emission heating and cooling systems, eco-plastics for floor coverings and innovative ventilation systems.
